Oregon Coast Aquarium is a most popular place of the city and it is some times acknowledged for having domiciled Keiko, the orca from the picture Free Willy, from the month of January in 1996 until 9th of September in 1998, when he was transported to Vestmannaeyjar, Republic of Iceland. In absence of its early star charisma, the United States of America Today and Coastal Living On line have graded the famous Oregon Coast Aquarium amidst the top ten aquariums in the total area of the United States.
The wide collection of the Oregon Coast Aquarium features mostly the flora and fauna that are native to the Oregon sea Coast. The largest demonstration of the Oregon Coast Aquarium is known as 'Passages of the Deep'. Put up in Keiko's early tank, the show Passages of the Deep provides audiences to walk through with the acrylic tunnels, bordered by deep water marine creatures like rock fish, Sharks and Sting rays. The Oregon Coast Aquarium also features marine mammals distinctly some mammals such as seals, sea lions and sea otters. The sea bird aviary is also seen in this show. There are also some special shows concentrating on the minor marine life in the sea area counting from the jellyfish, starfish, tidepool and sea anemones.
