Crater Lake National Park

Crater Lake National Park has been fascinating people for years. It is famous for its pure, deep blue lake, surrounded by cliffs and two beautiful picturesque islands. It has a violent volcanic past as well. It is a place that is sure to charm you with all its beauty and scenery.

Situated in Southern Oregon on the crest of the Cascade Mountain range, Crater Lake is the seventh deepest lake in the world and the deepest in the United States. There are no inlets or outlets to the lake. Evaporation and seepage does not allow the lake from becoming more deep.

Weather plays an important role at Crater Lake National Park. Winter generally gives shape to the landscape. Snow starts accumulating in October and doesn't melt in most places until the next June. Summer is quite predictable though, with warm, dry days, blue skies, and cool nights. However there can be days even in August when the lake can get completely covered by clouds and fog.

When you visit Crater Lake National Park better be ready to face any kind of weather condition, at any time of the year.
