|
Located on a 40-mile stretch of the Pacific coast from Long Beach, WA to Cannon Beach, The Lewis & Clark National Historical Park constitutes 12 park sites. It is better if you start your journey through Fort Clatsop or the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at Cape Disappointment State Park. Both of these offer park rangers and exhibits on the heritage of the region. During the summer months, which begins in mid-June and ends at Labor Day weekend, Costumed programs are arranged at Fort Clatsop .

From near the fort, you can stroll the Fort to sea trail, going through the woods to Sunset Beach on the Pacific Ocean. Again from Netul landing you can paddle the Lewis and Clark River Trail, a gentle 1.5-mile journey along the river.
Park Timing:
Most of the Parks generally remains open all throughout the year except the Christmas day. For details of the timing please call 503-861-2471.
At Fort Clastop Exhibit you can experience the thrill of stepping back in time standing in a 50 foot by 50 foot fort exhibit. You can get a chance to imagine 33 people in seven rooms, damp and chilled, completing daily activities and surviving the wet coastal winter of 1805-1806.
At Netul Landing, you may have your photo taken by a life size statue of Sacagawea and Jean Baptiste Charbonneau, the woman and baby of the expedition.
